Organic Electronics Corner

A brief overview of our dedicated facilities: from materials to device

With this system, we are able to fabricate and characterize all our organic devices. The Organic Electronics Corner is a system for fabrication and characterization of organic devices fully integrated with a glovebox for a control environment (H2O and O2 content control). It includes:

(a) a PVD chamber for the deposition of both organic and metallic thin films (without the needs of breaking the vacuum between fabrication processes);

(b) a probe station for full optoelectronic characterization for fabricated devices;

(c) a spectroradiometer used to measure optical output in devices (brightness, color coordinates, luminance, etc.).

Further characterization occurs in Micronova satellite labs.

NOW HERE!

November 2020: System is finally up and running!!!! and now the fun part will start!

May 2020: Evaporator is on its way! Stay tuned for more updates!

Our new lab corner is coming up very soon….

Things are almost ready to welcome new instrumentation here in Micronova (Aalto University). Arrival of the new evaporator and glovebox system is expected early Spring 2020

PS It is not actually a “corner” lab, however we like to call this way since ORGANIC ELECTRONIC Lab 1.0 was supposed to be in a corner! ..and we then decided to keep the name!

August 2020: Evaporator is finally here and hopefully installation and training will be possible soon!
December 2019 : We still have an empty room but equipment will be soon on its way!
